WHITE WATER RAFTING TULLY RIVER – 2019 World Championships
ABOUT THE EVENT
White water rafting in Tully Gorge is known as one of the premier courses in the world. Over 1,000 of the world’s best white water rafters will travel to the Cassowary Coast for a chance to become the ‘ best of the best’.
The event is to be held over 7 days from 13- 20 May 2019 with teams from 54 countries competing through a combination of disciplines that include sprints, head to head, slalom and downriver.
The event will be held on the world-renowned Tully River, on a section of iconic Grade IV water spilling through the world heritage rainforest of Tropical North Queensland.
You don’t have to be a world champion white water rafter to tackle these grade three and four rapids while navigating your raft through World Heritage-listed rainforest on the Tully River. But you can certainly be assured of the ride of your life!
Full day of white water rafting in Tully can be arranged with Raging Thunder Adventures, you’ll be kitted out with a helmet and life jacket. BYO swimmers and change of clothes as you can expect to get very wet!
