Fishing in Far North Queensland is varied with everything from River to Beach to Ocean
Hull River, Tully River and Murray River, These 3 river systems are similar in length and structure features, with mangrove lined banks, flats and feeder creeks. They have fresh water running into them but are dependent on recent rains. They hold good mud crabs, and all fish well in summer for Mangrove Jack and Barramundi, Flathead all year round and Trevally, Queenfish and Salmon in winter.
Two of the very best Fishing Spots are Cardwell and Kurrimine Beach, but you’ll find equally good fishing throughout the Cassowary Coast.
