The Cassowary Coast is set in World Heritage Wet Tropics with walking and hiking trails throughout our National Parks. We have an abundance of history and culture from our Aboriginal First People through to important WW2 sites. We have architectural interest too with superb examples of Art Deco in Innisfail and Tully.
Diving on this part of the Great Barrier Reef, means you will find beaches that stretch for miles yet are so uncrowded and unspoilt, you will feel like you are the only person in the world! Swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing, or adventure holiday – The Cassowary Coast has it all. And it is one of the safest areas in the world. I have never locked a door or window in the 10 years I have lived here and neither do my neighbours.
Sailing, boating in all forms is well catered for, both with good anchorages and outstanding operators who will do the very best to give visitors the best experience they can.
Accommodation on the Cassowary Coast ranges from backpacker/budget through to some of the most luxurious to be found around the world.
